Elizabeth A. Solomon

Bio

I have practiced exclusively in the area of family law my entire career, and I understand that there is no “one size fits all” solution in family law matters. I focus on the unique characteristics of each family. I strive to make the divorce process less stressful by helping my clients establish goals, find answers, and achieve positive, long-lasting results. I help clients control the terms and cost of their divorce by working with them to choose the best option to resolve their case – mediation, collaborative practice, negotiation, or litigation. I am known for my dedication to resolve issues outside of court through my work as a trained mediator and as a Collaborative attorney.

I am a problem solver by nature, but I never lose sight of the needs of the real people whose problems I am solving. I am committed to understanding the unique complexities and issues of each case and developing a plan to navigate my clients to a private and dignified resolution. I enjoy moving my clients from a place of vulnerability and stress to one of confidence and hope for the future beyond their family law case.

I joined NSSS&B as an associate attorney in 2011 and became a shareholder in the firm in 2018. I am based in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office, and I serve clients in Oakland, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.

When not working, you can find me spending time with my husband, two children, and our Goldendoodle. My kids keep me busy with their competitive swimming for BBD, Marian High School and BCC. I also love to travel and recently took up golf!

Experience

I have been practicing solely family law since 2008. While I started at a litigation-focused practice, I later transitioned my philosophy of practice to one of offering out-of-court paths and processes for clients ending their marriages.
